Michael Arndt

Attorney

After litigating all over the country on behalf of large companies, Michael is now delighted to work with Brodhead Law to get great results for people who need them.

Michael grew up in a busy house of seven in Snellville. His father owned a small asbestos removal business, and his mom was a longtime rock star teacher before finding the joys of retirement. His four siblings hung the moon and stars for Michael’s world, and he never tires of their quick wit and dry humor.

Michael majored in history at the University of Georgia and won an award for the best thesis in the department. After graduating, Michael served with AmeriCorps St. Louis and was honored with the “Best in Service” award for his work tutoring kids at Peabody Elementary School. He then spent a year as a houseparent for Lakota Sioux children in Chamberlain, South Dakota. Following these two years of service, Michael, with the intention of becoming a teacher, accepted a full scholarship for graduate school at Georgia State University. After receiving his degree, Michael changed course and decided that law might be a better fit for his academic bent and desire to help people. He then went to law school, where he graduated with academic honors and highest public service honors.

After law school, Michael married the girl of his dreams, Taylor Railey. Michael and Taylor have two charm-factory kids, Railey and John, and they live in Atlanta.

As a lawyer, Michael has benefitted from great mentors. He began his career as a law clerk for Chief Judge Ben W. Studdard III. Following his clerkship, Michael worked at a large national firm where he represented Fortune 500 companies in high stakes litigation and appellate work. Though he learned much from some great trial attorneys, Michael knew he should be on the other side. He made the switch, and now represents people who are catastrophically injured or families who have lost a loved one. He jumped at the opportunity to work at Brodhead Law, a firm with a long history of great results for its clients and two of the best attorneys in Georgia.
