A Record of Positive Results in Personal Injury Cases

Since 1998, Brodhead Law has successfully litigated hundreds of cases across the country and has recovered tens of millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for our clients.  Our firm’s founder, Ben Brodhead, is an honors graduate of Harvard Law School and has earned the reputation of holding insurance companies accountable, especially when they have acted in bad faith.

Why Choose Brodhead Law?

Brodhead Law is proud to offer our clients extensive experience, talent, innovation, and the financial strength to pursue and meet the challenges of each case and obtain superior results.  Our firm works on a contingency fee basis – no legal fees unless we successfully recover compensation for you – which provides victims of negligence access to the legal system and to justice.

Our firm uses sophisticated strategies to recover the highest possible amount in damages.  Our experienced trial lawyers take cases to trial in the fight for justice, and insurance companies know it.  We invest the time and effort necessary to prove liability, establish well-crafted, fully-documented strategies to prove liability and damages.  Our attorneys have been fighting for seriously injured accident victims for over 20 years and have recovered tens of millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for our clients, with a success rate of over 99 percent.

We Take Care of the People We Serve

As the result of a collision, many of our clients require extensive medical treatment for their injuries but are unable to obtain treatment on their own.  As well as providing the best representation possible, Brodhead Law can also provide access to medical treatment for those who do not have the financial means to get treatment on their own.

Do I Need a Personal Injury Lawyer?

If you or a loved one has suffered injuries in an accident, you may be unsure if you need to hire a personal injury lawyer. In any case in which serious bodily injuries have occurred, it is imperative that you get the assistance of an experienced personal injury attorney.  Filing a personal injury lawsuit and achieving a successful outcome requires specialized skills and a thorough knowledge of the civil justice system.  The outcome of your case will be the direct result of the skills of your legal team.

There are certain types of accidents and injuries that are so serious that the victim will live with long-term consequences.  In such cases, retaining the services of an experienced and successful personal injury lawyer will allow you to pursue the maximum compensation possible.

How Much Does a Personal Injury Attorney Charge?

Our personal injury attorneys don’t charge any fees unless we recover compensation on your behalf; our fees come as a percentage of the financial recovery. Every case is unique in the degree of the injuries sustained and the predicted long-term consequences for the victim.  In a case of serious injury, several forms of compensation are pursued, including:

economic damages

This portion of a negotiated settlement or jury award include the following:

  • Cost of medical treatment
  • Loss of income
  • Future financial losses associated with the injuries
  • Costs of nursing care
  • Other financial damages, appropriate to the case

non-economic damages

This portion of a jury award or settlement is often the highest amount, and includes:

  • Pain and suffering
  • Emotional anguish
  • The impact of a disability or disfigurement
  • Loss of enjoyment of life
  • Loss of consortium (deprivation of the benefits of a family relationship as a result of the injuries caused by another party)

Punitive Damages

Some cases involving an egregious act may allow for punitive damages to be pursued.  These damages are intended to punish the responsible party.  In an injury accident, if the driver was operating a vehicle while intoxicated by drugs or alcohol, it may be possible to seek a higher level of compensation.

Time Limits for Filing a Claim in Georgia

Under Georgia law, you have limited time in which you hold the legal right to file a legal claim or lawsuit.  This is termed the “statute of limitations.”  Much of the legal work must be performed in the early stages.  These actions include interviewing witnesses, investigating the accident scene and vehicles involved, reviewing medical records, and assistance from professional accident investigators, financial experts, and medical experts.  It is important that all evidence is obtained and preserved as early as possible.
